MAY 2018.

We are looking for volunteers from Sleaford to join our PPG. We meet once a quarter at Heckington and would be an opportunity for you to help shape the future of the Practice. If interested please contact Mr Marcus Griffen on the above number who will arrange an informal meeting with two of our current members.

 

Please note the next Practice Training afternoon is on 24/05/2018.

 

We have been accepted to host Nursing students from Lincoln University.

Our next Nursing Student will be Mrs Clare Shrouder who be with us from 26/3/18 for at least 3 months  and will be supervised and looked after by Jemma.She is a "back to Nursing" student so is fully qualified but needs refresher training in order to re-register with the Nursing Council.There has been a slight delay in starting due to mandatory requirements such as lifting and handling.

A warm welcome to her from everybody at Millview.

We have been allocated 9 Medical Students this year from Nottingham Medical School and the first two will be with us from 17/7/18.

 

Further developments include;

1.Twice monthly Ultrasound clinics in the former police station.Any bookings for this service will need to be made after a Clinician appointment initially.

2.Two days a week physiotherapy also in the former police station[Tuesdays and Thursdays].We are planning to increase this to Fridays also in the near future.Any appointments for this service will need to be made after an initial Clinican[Doctor or Nurse Practitioner]  assessment.

Temporary Registration

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
