Saturday Flu Clinic dates.

Sleaford 6/10/18 and 10/11/18.

Please note that there are 2 flu vaccines this year and if you are over 65 years of age will be receiving a TRIVALENT VACCINE.

PLEASE help us to help you;

Please be aware that if you are 10 minutes late then you will be asked to re-book or sit and wait so that patients that arrive on time can be seen.

Please be aware that if you do not attend appointments on multiple occasions then you will first receive a letter and then asked to re-register at an alternative practice.

Please be aware that any prescription advice given from a hospital appointment can take 7 days to process but you may also be asked to be seen if the clinician needs to discuss further.

Please be aware that this Practice has not yet signed up to the Electronic Prescription Service so cannot process requests from online pharmacies.

 

Please note the next Practice Training afternoon is on 13th September 2018.

 

 

We have been accepted to host Nursing students from Lincoln University.

A warm welcome to Katherine Wilkinson our new Nurse Practitioner who brings a lot of experience to our Team. She commences in post on 31/7/18.

We have been allocated 8 Medical Students this year from Nottingham Medical School and the first two will be with us from 17/7/18.

A warm welcome to Felicity Hoskins and Natasha Jewa who will be with us for four weeks from 17/7/18 ,Mr Timothy Davis who will be with us for 4 weeks from 13/8/18 and Miss Eleanor Plews who will be with us for 4 weeks from 10/9/18.

 

Further developments include;

1.Twice monthly Ultrasound clinics in the former police station.Any bookings for this service will need to be made after a Clinician appointment initially.

2.Three days a week physiotherapy also in the former police station[Tuesdays,Thursdays and Fridays].Any appointments for this service will need to be made after an initial Clinican[Doctor or Nurse Practitioner]  assessment.

Practice Management

Mr Marcus Griffen

The Practice Manager (Marcus Griffen) is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises, equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other Health Care Professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Our Secretarial support team are the first point of contact for patient referrals and Data Administration. All three are based at the main site in Heckington.

Helen joined the practice in 2000 and works alongside Alex at our main site in Heckington.

Alex joined the practice in 2006 and works alongside Helen at our main Heckington site.

Mrs Jayne Ball (f)

Jayne joined our secretarial team in December 2016. She is responsible for the filing of all electronic documents from hospital appointments as well as summarising all old paper records onto our computer system.
