Sleaford Road Closure From 10th July 2026 for 10 Weeks

Lincoln County Council have informed us that the B1517 in Sleaford is set to be reconstructed this summer as part of a wider scheme to improve safety and road conditions.

We will try to remind patients when they book appointments but can we request that patient’s give themselves plenty of time to get to the surgery.

Dates and timeframes – Monday 13 July for up to ten weeks

Location of works – A15, from A15/B1517 Sleaford roundabout to the South Gate/Boston Road junction in town

Traffic management – A combination of phased daytime road closures (from 7am to 6pm) and phased night-time road closures (6pm to 4am) will be in place for the duration of the project, weekdays only.

The level crossing at Southgate will also be closed to vehicular traffic throughout the project.

Please note that local bus services will be affected by the roadworks. Details will be shared by the bus operator once finalised.

Diversion route

• Travelling south to north on the A15: via Holdingham Roundabout and Lincoln Road into Sleaford town centre
• Travelling north to south on the A15: via Holdingham Roundabout and Lincoln Road into Sleaford town centre
• Travelling from the west: via the A17 and Boston Road into Sleaford
• Travelling from the east (Grantham Road): via the A15 northbound to Holdingham Roundabout, or via the A17 to Holdingham Roundabout then Lincoln Road

Access for residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times.
